The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it truly is alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area regularly. The company level designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to empower the servicing of all shoppers and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
